Sheep Hunting

May 20, 2019

I'll kind of just throw out random things again that I can remember.

We had all Scotland this week which was super fun! Was able to see a lot of peeps which was awesome! Also meant tons of driving because over 100 missionaries came here to Edinburgh and Elder Heggie and I are the ones who do that. So that was cool. Good times in the van.

Conference was awesome. Elder Sabin of the Seventy came! It was awesome to just see his light. It was very distinct and is hard to describe. Very thankful, helped a lot to know what I can work on and things that we should focus on as a zone!
This really is the best work ever! It is the best opportunity ever to be able to share it with all.

Had a scare this week. Elder Long went to the hospital! Elder Heggie and I were able to go out and see him and now bring him back here. He is recovering which is awesome and him and his comp will be here in the mission home until he is good. Very thankful for prayers answered and for the spirit. Such miracles. Again, more driving for elder Heggie and I. Always good stuff.

I am so thankful for the Atonement. For my savior Jesus Christ and for the privilege that I have to serve. Nothing like it.

Something that I have been thinking a lot about lately is very simple but just remembering who you want to become! It’s one thing to remember who you are but it’s not always enough. Need to always have a vision and then do the things necessary to get you there. It’s not always easy it’s not always fun but it is so worth it. It’s the process that is worth it. I know that through my Savior He can and will fit me for whatever comes as long as I am willing to do my best. I am so thankful for that!

Love you all so much and thankful for the support that has led me here.

Bashers, gay guys and Muslims

May 13, 2019

We have conference and a member of the Seventy coming this week so should be fun, anyway I will try to spit out some things about my week. Totally random as usual cause thats just me!

Like I said I think if I had to talk about my week I think the words to sum it up would be bashers, gay guys, and Muslims. I kind of just want to end it there and leave it to whatever you make it cause lets be real that would be more fun!

We had a good amount of really interesting conversations this week. I'll admit I was scared at times for a few things. Mainly the way some people feel but wow I guess I can't really say that.

I got pooped on, which I think is supposed to be good luck, still waiting to see what comes of that. Right in the middle of a lesson and wham all over the place. Just got me though so thats nice.

Was able to go on exchanges this week a few times. Haha People thought I was going home in the next month or so. Not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Always like exchanges cause I get to learn a lot about other people.

Elder Heggie and I are continuing our work as jedis which is good.

Rained a bit this week which is fun. We stand and just spin in circles in the rain as people just walk by and wont talk cause its raining. We often go where a cafe is across the street and people sit inside and just laugh so thats good, can make peeps day in one way or another!

Have a little Chinese friend Derek who really loves to talk so that keeps me on my toes.

I sing songs to myself a lot on the streets which is fun. Fine tuning all of my skills you know.

Really just working to be the best me. Very thankful for prayers answered this week and for our Heavenly Fathers plan. He really is in all parts of our lives and will always help if we are willing to simply ask.

Had coach Gelwix come here this week and talk to the peeps in Edinburgh which was cool. He is the winningest rugby coach in America. He gave a lot of good advice with things and always trusting in the Lord.

Little thought that I have been thinking on this week. Strength doesn't come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't! Good stuff.

Don't pray for patience cause it will come. haha

Anyway think thats all for me. Should have a proper amount of stories coming soon. Always interesting here.

Love you all and am so thankful for the love and support that I am given. I am beyond blessed.

Jedi training

May 6, 2019

My week was crazy! Was told that I look dead, old and tired a lot this week. But that's ok, did it all with a smile so that makes it all better! Sleep isn't really needed, it's just advised you know?

Loads of driving peeps around and picking them up and such at strange hours which is nice. Keeps me on my toes.

Had a lot of finding this week which is always the best!

Elder Heggie and I were able to make lots of friends. Some who want to be more than that but we wont go into that too much. haha Not really sure why things like this always happen but you know you just gotta play with the dice you are handed.

I played Jedi mind tricks on people this week as we were finding! I would wave my hand and tell them that they will stop! And you know it happened sometimes so I think that means that the force has awakened in me. I'll be working on it more coming up this week. Plan on being a Jedi master by the time I'm home so watch out!

Good laughs, some rain, some sun, and some food...  sometimes, sometimes not, gotta work on that.

New flat is so big and very nice. I am spoiled! Not really sure why. Got some nice weights so I am working out a good amount again which again, very thankful!

Thoughts for the week...
You need to remember the why to the things that you do. This is something that I focused on and learned a lot this week. In the scriptures I love the story of Ammon, it talks about his desire to serve the people. As a result his bands were loosed as it says and he was able to be an instrument in the hands of the lord! What a miracle. To me a big part of this came down to his desire. It got me thinking, what is my desire in the things I do? What is my intent? What do I need to accomplish? And why do I do what I do? This is my invite for the week.

Truly take a step back and asses what you do and why you do it! As you do this look for ways to become better and I promise that your bands will be loosed and you will see many miracles in your life!!! I am so blessed to have this opportunity to learn and to grow and to see these great things happen around me through the Lord!

I am so thankful for all of you, for the examples and the support that you give. Wouldn't be able to be who I need to without it! Love you and hope you have a blessed week! Expect miracles and they will be there.
